Diphan (earlier spelt Deepan), who had been an associate to Shaji Kailas, made his directorial debut a few years back with 'Leader', which didn't make any impact at the box office.
It's with the recently released Prithviraj starrer 'Puthiya Mukham' that Diphan got the right kind of mileage at the box office. The film is still running at many centers.
Diphan is now all set to go high-profile. There was even a buzz that he may make a film with Mohanlal in the lead. Anyway, the latest news is that it would be Prithviraj who will play the lead role in Diphan's next film. To be produced under the Seven Arts banner, the film will feature script by Babu Janardhanan. Discussions are going on and more details are awaited.
