Rani Mukherjee is an amazing costar: Prithviraj

Prithviraj is awed by Rani Mukherjee, his costar in ‘Ayya’, and says that her attitude towards cinema has amazed him. Prithvi says Rani plays a character who speaks Hindi with a clear Marathi accent in the film, and that the actress learned the language just to make sure she gets her dialogues right.

Prithvi also says that Rani Mukherjee has also been instrumental in his bettering his Hindi. With Rani on the sets, it has always been a wonderful learning experience. He remembers that Rani would be very much around, even if she didn’t have to shoot, just to see the shooting process.

‘Ayya’ is being produced by ace director Anurag Kashyap. The film is being directed by Sachin Kundalkar, the much acclaimed Marathi director. The film has been shot in and around locations at Mumbai and is reportedly a love story between a Marathi girl and a Tamil painter.

Urumi is now all set to roar loud in Kollywood

There has been lot of talk about Santhosh Sivan’s ‘Urumi’ and rather good one at that. The multi-starrer which is being re-made from the original Malayalam version which was a spectacular hit, is set for release at the end of April and there is a lot riding on it.

One good thing that Kalaipuli S Thanu’s ‘Kollywood V Creations’ has taken over the Tamil version and plans to release it big. ’Urumi’ has Prithviraj, Prabhu Deva, Genelia and Nithya Menen in the lead with special appearances by Arya, Tabu and Vidya Balan. Vairamuthu has written lyrics set to tune by Deepak Dev.

Kalaipuli Thanu is of the opinion that ‘Urumi’ has huge potential with its array of stars under the direction of ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan. It is touted to be a period film with great action scenes choreographed by Anal Arasu and melodious music. Kalaipuli Thanu said ‘Urumi’ in Tamil may be releasing towards the end of April. It will release in 300 plus screens in all likelihood and no stone will be left unturned to promote the movie.

The actress has donned the look in a song that has some cheeky and colorful lyrics. A source reveals, "This song is one of the highlights of the film. It has Rani dressed up as a boy as she teases the girls around her. The lyrics are quite naughty as she talks about her friends."

This isn't the only song that has Rani do something different, there's another big medley where she has paid tribute to her favourite actresses Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla!
