Malayalam movie Thanthonny by debutant director George Varghese with the young star Prithviraj in the lead will commence shooting in Ernakulam. The movie also features Saikumar, Biju Menon, Jagathy Sreekumar, Lalu Alex, Captain Raju, Ambika, and Sadhique in prominent roles in the movie. With this movie the Mayabazaar fame Sheela will be back in the Malayalam film industry.
The movie is expected to throw light on the life of farmers who had migrated to the hilly regions years ago. It needs to be seen how far Prithviraj would be able to give a realistic portrayal of a rustic character.
Prithviraj has been in the news for allegedly refusing to play younger brother to Mohanlal in the upcoming Malayalam movie Christian Brothers. Thanthonny has its scripts by T A Shahid. T A Shahid has been away from the limelight for quite some time following the failure of the Mohanlal movie Alibhai at the box office. The movie will be produced by Visakha Films.
