This is really weird as it doesn’t happen usually with accordance to regulations. It’s a very well known fact that home videos would be released merely after the theatrical release. But in recent times, other regional movies aren’t finding good space in Chennai box office due to heavy downpour of Tamil film releases.
Sangam Cinemas had publicized about releasing Prithviraj’s Malayalam movie ‘Puthiya Mukham’ shortly in their theatres. But the producers of this film have launched the home video in all the stores. The DVD of this costs not more than what a single multiplex ticket would do so.
‘Puthiya Mukham’ features Prithviraj, Meera Nandan, Bala, Priyamani and ‘Ninaithale Inikkum’ fame Vishnupriyan in lead roles. The film was a sensational blockbuster in Malayalam box office,since the majority of the actors were casted in ‘Ninaithale Inikkum’ and the film was based on college campus story.
