'Kerala Cafe'-best Malayalam film at IFFK.


Iranian film 'About Elly' by Asghar Farhadi and Indonesian film 'Germal' by Ravi Bharwani shared the 'Suvarna Chakoram' (Golden Crow Pheasant) award for best film at the 14th edition of International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) that concluded here today. The `Rajata Chakoram' (Silver Crow Pheasant) for best director went to Tajikistan director Nosir Saidov for the film `True Noon', which also won the audience poll award. South African film `My Secret Sky' directed by Izulu Lami also won 'Rajata Chakoram' for best debut film. The awards were announced at the closing function of the festival by director Beena Paul and jury members. The Network of Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) award for best Asian film went to 'Germal' while they chose 'Kerala Cafe' as the best Malayalam film.
