On a roll

Love him or hate him, Prithviraj is one actor who just cannot be ignored. Although his ‘Thanthonni’ did nothing much for the actor or the star, he has much to look forward to this year. Art house director P.T. Kunju Mohammed has cast him in his epic film on freedom fighter Mohammed Abdul Rahman Sahib. “It is a commercial venture that will unfold the story of this remarkable man and his life from April 23, 1921 to November 21, 1945. It will be a slice of political history of Kerala and feature 132 characters. Almost all the leading freedom fighters and politicians of those times will appear in the film,” says P.T. whose last film ‘Paradesi’ had wowed cineastes. Rumours abound that Prithviraj is tipped to play Velu Thampi Dalawa in Viji Thampi’s film.
