Srikanth and Prithviraj’s, Manmohan directed bilingual Kuttrapirivu in Tamil and Police Police in Telugu is releasing this Friday.
The film is about two cops and their crime files. Kamalini Mukherjee plays Srikanth’s lover in the film.
The grapevine has it that the film is heavily inspired from Akira Kurusowa world classic Rashomon!The Kurusowa film gives us four viewpoints of a murder - one for each defendant - each revealing a little more detail.
Which version, if any, is the real truth about what happened is what the film is all about.
Srikanth in an interview to a tabloid has said: “Rashomon, sort of but not exactly. Pritviraj shares the screen space with me as a cop and the same incident is viewed in two different ways. It all depends on how you look at it.”
