Ace director Maniratnam, who has been making the bilingual film ‘Raavan’ in Hindi and ‘Asokavanam’ in Tamil reportedly on the epic Ramayana, is said to be mulling as to which title to be chosen as common for both the Tamil and Hindi versions. The film’s shooting, which took place for the past one-and-a-half years, is now complete and the post-production work is in progress, it is aid.
While the editing and other post-production work relating to the Tamil version is being done at Chennai, the work of the Hindi film is being held at Mumbai. Post the much-publicised ‘CD leak’ of Sarath Kumar’s ‘Jaggubai’, security has been beefed up at the place where the film is being edited and is brought to shape prior to its release.
For the time being, let’s forget as to what goes on inside the recording theatre and concentrate on the film’s story, which hasn’t been revealed much.
A little bird tells that as per the script, Vikram keeps Ash in confinement in a dense forest. Some stray wolfs, who wander around the place in Vikram’s absence, give Asha a hot chase who runs scurrying across to save her life. Instead of using real wolfs which might have turned violent at any time, Maniratnam hired some Australian dogs which resemble wolf in appearance.
Thank God they spared Ash!
