Kerala's first multiplex, being promoted by Cinemax, will be opened at a mall today by Malayalam actor Prithviraj.
The function will be followed by a special screening of his Malayalam film 'Thantonni'.
The multiplex has four screens and total capacity of 634 seats.
After its launch in Hyderabad, this is the second multiplex presence of Cinemax in South India.
Cinemax now is present in 29 locations, 94 screens & 25,173 seats, including Kochi, a company press release said.
It will soon touch 100 screens with the launch of its forthcoming properties in Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Baroda, the release said.
