Two of Prithviraj’s films in Malayalam the super hit Puthiya Mugham and the average Robin Hood are to be dubbed into Tamil. The young actor is very popular in Tamil Nadu through films like Mozhi and Ninaithale Inikkum.
The Deepan directed Puthiya Mugham is an action entertainer with good music that established Prithviraj as a saleable superstar in Malayalam. The film also has Priyamani, Meera Nandan and Bala artists known to Tamil audiences.
The other Prithviraj film to be dubbed into Tamil is veteran Joshy directed Robin Hood which has been named Naan Ninaithathai Mudippavan. The film has poular Tamil artists like Narain, Prithviraj, Bhavana, Biju Menon, Pawan and Rajendranath.
The buzz is that Prithviraj is going to be a major force in Tamil cinema once his Mani Ratnam directed Raavanan releases in June.
So now the smart guys in the trade are buying all Prithviraj Malayalam films with a potential to be dubbed into Tamil. It has made Prithvi the hottest Malayalam star with better dubbing potential in other languages than M & M.
