Prithviraj's 'Puthiya Mukham (Tamil Version) will grace Tamil Nadu screens soon.

Prithviraj is one actor who has tasted success both in Mollywood and Kollywood. His latest hit in the Malayalam film industry was Puthiya Mugham (2009), directed by Deepan with Priyamani, Meera Nandan and Bala in important roles. This film turned out to be a great success for the team, now it is being dubbed in Tamil in the same title. This high voltage campus flick, produced by Anil Mathew and S. Murugan under the banner of Bethesda Productions, will grace Tamil Nadu screens soon.

The film revolves around a young Brahmin youth Krishnakumar alias Kichan (Prithviraj), who lives in a modest agraharam in Kalpathi, where he teaches mridungam to kids and romances Sreedevi (Meera Nandan), daughter of his father's close friend (Kalasala Babu). Their relationship has the blessings and approval of their elders and friends.

He soon joins an engineering college in Kochi. On the first day itself, he wins over the hearts of his classmates with his talk and percussion skills displayed on his desk. Then, on Freshers' Talent Search Day, he dazzles everyone with an extraordinary performance, using all kinds of percussion instruments. Anjana (Priyamani), his classmate, is most impressed with him and his performance and they become very good friends.

Sudhi (Bala), who is very close to Anjana's family and a senior student in the college, wishes to marry her. Sudhi and his brothers Mahi (Saikumar) and Giri (Shammi Thilakan) are goons who have been unleashing a reign of terror in the city. Sudhi misunderstands Anjana's admiration for Kichu as love and thrashes poor Kichan severely and heartlessly, leaving him a wreck. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
