Mani Ratnam is making “Raavan” in Hindi and the Tamil and Telugu versions are titled “Ashokavanam”. Initially, Rajinikanth’s daughter (wife of Dhanush) was contacted for dubbing Aiswarya Rai in Tamil. However, the former beauty queen offered to dub her own voice and after initial audition, Mani Ratnam is satisfied and permitted her.

Post-production works for the film will start in the first week of January, 2010.But the dubbing for Abhishek Bachchan will be done by professional dubbing artiste.

Vikram, Priya Mani and Prabhu are now in Chennai for shooting some patchwork.Prithvi will be completing his final patch-up work this week.After that he'll join the set of Pokkiri Raja with Shriya Saran.
