Prithviraj out of Mumbai Police?

Though Prithviraj had earlier signed to play the lead role in Mumbai Police, the latest buzz is that the actor will not be part of the project due to scheduling conflicts.

Last year, Prithviraj had announced that he was excited to be part of the action thriller to be directed by Rosshan Andrrews and scripted by Bobby-Sanjay duo (Traffic).

But, sources now say that Mumbai Police might now have a new cast replacing Prithvi and Tamil star Arya who was also earlier confirmed for the project.

The reason for Prithvi backing out could be the delay in the filming of the movie which was scheduled to start in June this year. The movie was put on hold as Rosshan was busy with Mohanlal's 'Casanova' which has been long delayed due to the unavailability of the megastar's dates.

'Casanova,' which was supposed to be an Onam release, is now scheduled to be released on December 15.

Prithvi, however, is currently busy shooting in Kottayam for Johnny Antony's 'Masters.' The movie, which will be his Christmas release, also marks the Mollywood debut of Tamil actor Sasikumar and Piaa Bajpai.

Masters is about two friends - a police officer (Prithvi) and a journalist (Sasikumar) - who help each other through adversities to fulfil social responsibilities.
