After the critically acclaimed Pranchiyettan and The Saint last year, Mollywood filmmaker Ranjith is now basking in the success of his Prithviraj-starrer Indian Rupee.
He had a special screening of the film in Chennai for Kollywood celebrities. "Indian Rupee is a satirical dig on today's youngsters who attempt to make quick money without sweating it out," says the director, "Most often, the path chosen now by the youth to make money is wrong and the film depicts this social reality through a simple and sarcastic way."
The film also has Rima Kallingal (of Yuvan Yuvathi fame) and Thilakan playing prominent characters and guest appearances by Asif Ali and Fahad Fazil. The movie is produced by Santhosh Sivan and Prithviraj.
