Aiyya is an upcoming Hindi film co-produced and written by Anurag Kashyap and directed by Sachin Kundalkar. The film is jointly produced by Anurag Kashyap and Viacom 18. The film stars Prithviraj and Rani Mukerji in the lead roles.
Plot:
The story is about a Marathi girl played by Rani Mukerji falling in love with a Tamil artist played by Prithviraj. It’s a quirky and funny love story with the backdrop of a West-South cultural clash.

Production:
Pre-production started in August 2011 and the film went into shooting by the first week of October 2011. The shooting ended in December 2011, and the film is confirmed to release 28 September 2012.

The lyrics of the songs are written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and the music is done by Amit Trivedi. The songs will be choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant.
