Prithviraj in and as Louis VI

Prithviraj will play Louis VI. No, not the 18 thcentury tyrant French King but the sixth son of a Catholic Kuttanadu couple in debutant directors Jikson and Rajeesh Anthony's film Louis Aaraman.

The family film directed by former associates of director Thampi Kannamthanam will have Prithvi in an entertaining role of a young man who fails his 10 thboard exams several times so he doesn't have to go through with his parent's vow of making him a pastor.

"Louis is his parent's sixth child. The earlier five were stillborns and so his parents had decided that if the sixth was born alive, then they would give him back to God that is make the child a pastor or a nun when the baby grows up," says Jikson about the plot.

However, Prithvi's character grows up to be a no-good rebel and with the support of his grandmother, both humorously plot to avoid going to the seminary, he explains.

The cast of the film, produced by Biji John and Santhosh Mathai under Cinema Movies banner, is yet to be finalized. The shooting is expected to begin by February or June next year subject to the availability of dates of Prithvi, who has a Bollywood film opposite Rani Mukherjee, Dr Biju's Aakashatinte Nirangal, Vysakh's Mallu Singh and Deepan's Hero already lined up.

That's way too much on the plate, even for Louis VI.
