It has been quite a while since we saw this lovely lady in Tamil. After Vazhthugal with Madhavan, Bhavana got busy with a string of Malayalam and Telugu projects.
Bhavana came into Malayalam films through Nammal opposite Siddharth when she was in high school. Chronic Bachelor, C.I.D. Moosa, Swapnakoodu followed and Bhavana got opportunities to act alongside stalwarts including Mohanlal, Mammootty and Suresh Gopi. In 2005, Udhayaanu Thaaram was one of her big hits. She also got the Kerala State award for Daivanamathil. She got into Tamil films through Koodal Nagar. Arya, Rameshwaram and Jayamkondan followed. Her original name is Kartika. Director Kamal christened her Bhavana for films. Though Bhavana is really upset that she could not continue her studies after she became busy with films, her on screen roles as a peppy college girl give her a chance to enjoy college life on screen.
For her fans waiting to see her back in Kollywood, here is good news! She has reportedly signed up for a new project in Tamil alongside Prithviraj.
