Prithviraj’s dilemma

Prithviraj is in a dilemma these days. His career is on an upswing both in the Malayalam and Tamil industry, as half a dozen of his films are releasing this year, but he is giving top priority to his role in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan.

The actor was recently quoted saying — “What I enjoy about acting is the adrenaline rush. When the director says, ‘Action’, there is a huge rush of adrenaline, I don’t know why. I just love the feeling of becoming somebody else.”

The latest about the actor is that he has been offered a role in the Bharath Bala directed 19 Steps starring Kamal Haasan, Asin and Tadanobu. We hear that Prithviraj wants to do the film badly as the script is by MT Vasudevan Nair, who has written many memorable dialogues in Malayalam cinema for Prithviraj’s father Sukumaran.

However, Prithviraj is facing date problems as the shoot of Raavan is getting delayed. He will be able to do 19 Steps only if Mani Ratnam is able to complete his magnum opus, as the shoot of Bharath Bala’s film starts in the first week of August.
